The material properties of an automotive driveshaft assembly have a decisive impact on its service life. The choice and performance of materials directly affect key indicators such as the driveshaft's strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and fatigue resistance, thus influencing its reliability and lifespan under actual operating conditions.

Material strength is the foundation for the driveshaft assembly's ability to withstand torque and load. Driveshafts typically use high-strength alloy steel or carbon fiber composite materials to ensure reliability under high torque and complex load conditions. Alloy steel has high yield strength and tensile strength, making it suitable for most heavy-duty vehicles; carbon fiber composite materials have higher specific strength and lightweight characteristics, making them suitable for high-performance vehicles.

The wear resistance of materials directly affects the performance of the driveshaft assembly during long-term operation.
